2017 Dayton Regional Science Festival: Super Science Saturday

Saturday, November 18 | 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Located throughout the Museum

The Boonshoft Museum invites families to explore hands-on STEM activities, interact with partners and Museum professionals, and more at a FREE day of science and fun. In addition to the complete Museum experience, guests can also explore the STEMM Expo (closes at 3:00 p.m.) in the Main Exhibit Hall! Museum educators and representatives from 20+ community partners will offer a day of fun, STEM immersion, family interaction, and one-of-a-kind Museum programming.

Highlights of the 2017 Festival include:

  • Three workshops, ranging from "hair-raising" science with Mister C, to a science fiction writer's workshop with Wendy Vogel, and the science of music with Jim McCutcheon.
  • An experimental archaeology program, hosted by our Collections Department and WSU archaeology students.
  • Curious George Goes to Mars showing in the planetarium

2017 STEMM Expo community partners include: DP&L, Wright State Engineers Without Borders, CSafe Global, University of Dayton Engineering Wellness Through Biomechanics Lab, ThinkTV, MedVet, and many more. Each of these community partners will host a display in the Main Exhibit Hall, Main Lobby, or Education Lobby to show off real-world STEM and science careers.

NEW for 2017! Additional parking will be available at Howell Field, located at the intersection of Ridge Avenue and DeWeese Parkway. A courtesy shuttle provided by the Greater Dayton RTA will run every 15 minutes.
