Mark your calendar! Saturday, September 8 is guaranteed to be a memorable evening filled with great food and music, fabulous raffle prizes, and unique access to the entire Museum. From 6:00 p.m. to midnight, the annual Boonshoft Gala offers an elegant evening of grown-up wonders, cultural encounters and expertly-themed stations with specialty cuisine.
As you arrive, you will be greeted by a complimentary valet service in elegant, red-carpet style, courtesy of AAA-Miami Valley. Pose for commemorative photos, courtesy of Rieck Services, in front of a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, the featured Raffle prize of the evening. Kick off the celebration at the Opening Reception hosted by Holcomb, Veith & Associates in the Museum’s atrium. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, themed libations and live music presented by Brower Insurance Agency.
Explore the wonders of the Museum, catch all of the evening’s sports action in the Green Zone on multiple large screen televisions thanks to Audio, Etc. while you kick back in style thanks to Morris Home Furnishings. Relax at the Stafford’s Stardust Lounge, and enjoy a sit down dinner with elegantly-designed menus and featured wines before you dance the night away.
New for 2012! Transport back to the 1960s with two themed cocktail bars, featuring retro libations including French 75, Vesper Martini, and Tom Collins. And true to the Museum’s mission, the Gala’s theme this year is Fly Me to the Moon. This year, Gala offers the perfect opportunity to experience The Dome, explore the Hall of the Universe, and re-discover the wonder of our Moon.
Gala tickets are $175 per person. Online sales have now ended, and refunds can no longer be issued. Reservations can be still be made by phone 937-275-7431, ext. 144 until Thursday, September 6 at 5:00 p.m. Limited seating available; call for more information.
2012 Reverse Raffle tickets will be drawn in batches throughout the night, awarding fantastic and valuable prizes along the way, building momentum to the end-of-the-evening’s grand prize: a brand new 2013 Chevy Camaro Convertible! Need not be present to win; purchase raffle tickets online.
All proceeds for the 2012 Boonshoft Gala will benefit the Museum’s Astronomy and Planetary Science Education.
