Effective January 2, 2013, general admission will include unlimited Space Theater shows, based on available seating.

Programs & Events

 Each day the staff of the Boonshoft Museum conducts and presents special programs to enhance your visit. Hands-on science experiments, Otter feedings, Planetarium shows, story times and visits with live animals are just a few of the activities you can add to your list of things to do and see.

 The Museum hosts dozens of special events each year; some to celebrate special occasions, such as the Kids New Year’s Eve Party and Howl-o-Ween, and others just for the fun of it, like ShamROCK and Voyage on The Parkway. The Education Department plans and organizes large scale activities in support of Biology, Nanotechnology and Chemistry, just to name a few, and the Astronomy Department shares the vast concepts of the Universe during Astronomy Day and special Friday night star gazing events.

 Exhibits-to-Go is the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery’s traveling museum. These hands-on exhibit presentations have been developed to be taken to schools, camps and Senior care facilities throughout the Miami Valley and Cincinnati areas.

 The Boonshoft welcomes more than 35,000 school-aged children each year. We offer grade appropriate programs that align to Ohio Academic Content Standards as well as National Science Standards. In addition, our programs change frequently to capitalize on timely learning initiatives, and to best utilize the themes of our featured traveling exhibitions. We make it easy to confirm your class or school, from booking the perfect class, to ordering lunch to planning shopping excursions.

 Spend your summer on an adventure with the experienced staff at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Building, thinking, experimenting and creating are the basis for activity-packed classes designed to nurture creativity, teamwork and kids’ interest in science.
