 A variety of party themes are available for groups to choose from. They are designed to appeal to children from toddlers to teens, and are booked by age group.:
Toddler Nature Birthday or Toddler Science Birthday
Ages 2-3
Enjoy hands-on nature or science birthday activities with your toddler on his or her special day. Activities will be age appropriate.
*Note: Two (2) adults must accompany every three (3) children in attendance.
Dinosaur Discovery
Ages 2-3
Travel back to the age of the dinosaurs! Find out how big they really were, get an up-close look at cool fossil specimens and build a volcano that actually erupts!
Garden Tea Party
Ages 3-7
Nibble on cake and sip from tea cups. Enjoy garden-themed crafts, create your own mini-garden, and learn about the plants and critters that live in gardens. Make sure to wear your favorite tea party outfit.
Animal Exploration
Ages 4-12
Be a party animal! Have a private visit with some of the animals that live at the Museum and then tour the Museum's new Discovery Zoo ( Please note that the zoo is currently closed for renovation, and is scheduled to reopen in September 2010).
SUPERKID
Ages 4-12
This is one super birthday party. Are you curious about the secrets of superhero science? Become a superhero and enjoy superhero crafts and experiments.
Space & Party Beyond
Ages 6-12
This party is out there! See a private Planetarium show in the Museum's Caryl D. Philips Space Theater and learn some cool (and red hot) space facts.
Mad Scientist
Ages 4-12
Whiz, Bang, Wow! Are you intrigued by messy and fun concoctions? In this party, you’ll enjoy a private interactive science experience conducted by your party presenter, and then dive in to fun, hands-on experiments in the classroom as you become a mad scientist.
Grossology
Ages 4-12
Do you want to have the coolest and grossest party around? You and your friends will get to gross each other out with experiments and attend your very own private gross show in the Museum’s Science Theater!
Pirate Adventure
Ages 4-12
Avast, me hearties! Go on the account and join the Boonshoft’s crew as a pirate! Discover how to prevent getting the scurvy, learn about how Jolly Roger wasn’t always so jolly, and embark on a treasure hunting adventure!
Spa Science
Ages 8-12
Learn about the science behind the beauty industry while being pampered at the same time! Through hands-on discovery, you will create safe and fun beauty products to use and take home.
