Sonoran Desert
Sample ImageLeave Ohio to travel to a far-off place: the Sonoran Desert. Here, children experience what it’s like to run their fingers through desert soil, study desert animals, and discover the differences between daytime and nighttime desert environments.

Tidal Pool
Sample ImageThe Tidal Pool is open daily from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. During this time, step up onto the small wooden deck area and peer into a little piece of the ocean. Tucked into the rocky display are live sea stars, sea anemones, sea cucumbers, and gumboot chitons. A knowledgeable Museum staff member from the Live Animals department will guide and instruct you through your experience, offering facts and information about marine life.
Reynolds and Reynolds Exploration Computer Center

Learn about Ohio forests, analyze the history of the universe, act as a paleontologist to find dinosaur bones, learn about 250 different varieties of dogs, and even get acquainted—or reacquainted—with classics like Schoolhouse Rock, Arthur, and Carmen Sandiego. Each program is geared toward a different target age range, so children who are three years old will find something suitable to study, as will as those who are thirteen—and even thirty.
