The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery’s Featured Exhibits are designed to creatively balance fun and knowledge by engaging visitors in interactive elements to explain innovative and important subject matter in an understandable style to visitors of all ages.

The Museum’s Featured Exhibits are carefully selected 3-4 years in advance by the Society's Exhibits Committees. The committee tries to ensure that Featured Exhibits are selected from a broad range of educational and scientific disciplines, and include interesting topics for our diverse memberships, as well as assuring relevancy to societal trends and educational needs.
Too Small to See
Crime Lab Detectives January 30–May 2, 2010
Go from teeny to tiny to nano as you watch everyday objects zoom into focus! Dissolve a virtual crystal, build a carbon nanotube and pull apart a virtual RNA molecule with your hands as you explore the hidden layers of the world around us. At Too Small to See, use all your senses to discover how scientists are working on the molecular level to create very, very small structures and devices.

A traveling exhibition created by Cornell University, Painted Universe Inc. and Sciencenter Discovery Museum, with support from the National Science Foundation.

How People Make Things
Space Adventures May 29–September 5, 2010
Every object that is manufactured today – from toys to tools to furniture – began as an idea and became a reality through people and technology, as raw materials were transformed into finished products. Through hands-on activities that demonstrate the processes that make up the manufacturing experience, discover the stories behind some of the everyday objects that line store shelves.

The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery is a children’s museum, science/technology center, and accredited zoo and also houses a Planetarium and an observatory. Visitors of all ages can explore, play and be inspired by permanent exhibits which include the Bernouilli Blower, Explorers Crossing, the Water Table, the Color Wall, a pioneer cabin, and over 60 animals native to Ohio.
