The mission of the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery is to educate and enlighten all people of the region about the wonders of the world through science.

The vision of the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery is to be the premier regional provider of interactive learning experiences which enrich the lives of children of all ages, enhance the quality of life in our community, and promote deeper understanding of the world.

Our vision in the education department is to incorporate current technologies and events, promote community relations, and utilize best practices in education in order to encourage lifelong learning and to uphold the mission and vision of the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery.

Whether you are a public or a homeschool educator, we design our programs to provide a high quality learning experience for your students while maintaining the fun, hands-on atmosphere that you’re searching for in a field trip experience. Our programs are aligned to Academic Content Standards Standards and most include preliminary and post visit activities.
