Arctic Adventures with Robyn Staup & The Boonshoft Museum

Join the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery’s Earth and Life Sciences Coordinator, Robyn Staup, on her six week journey as a member of the international Bering Ecosystem Study (BEST) team. This research segment on the climatic conditions of the eastern Bering Shelf is the first installment of PolarTREC, a three-year international research initiative in conjunction with the International Polar Year.
Learn about Robyn’s adventures through her live journal and ask her questions as she tags wildlife for tracking purposes, explores links within the ecosystem, analyzes oceanic water composition, attempts to unlock questions surrounding climate change and more.
The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery offers an educational program in relation to the International Polar Year that will impact over 450 middle schoolers. The Jack and Emily Blake Fund of The Dayton Foundation to expand science learning about the environment, robotics and technology made this unique program possible.
