Boonshoft Museum Discovery Camps
2009 Summer Discovery Camps
Taking a break at Discovery CampSpend your summer on an adventure with the experienced staff at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery. Building, thinking, experimenting and creating are the basis for activity-packed classes designed to nurture creativity, teamwork and kids’ interest in science. Fun is important too, so time is built in for active play and making friends!

Discovery camp classes will be offered for children Pre-K through 8th grade.

Additional camp opportunities will be offered June 15–19, June 22–26, and July 27–31.

New for 2009!
Friday “Student Showcase” day encourages kids to share their accomplishments with family and friends.

Science on a Sphere® gives campers access to technology shared by only 30 other educational locations nationwide.

New daily registration procedures provide parents and kids with a quick, easy start to their day. A separate preschool entrance provides a fun start especially designed for the younger crowd.

Pre-K to K Classes
Choose: 8:30–11:30 a.m. or 12:30–3:30 p.m., Monday–Friday
Cost: $85/person/week ($80 members)
These classes are for Preschool through kindergarten age children, 3–6 years old, including 5- and 6-year-olds who have completed kindergarten during the 2008–2009 school year.

To enroll, children must have turned 3 years old before April 1, 2009, and be potty trained. A mid-class snack and an official printed Boonshoft Discovery Camp T-shirt will be provided for each camper. Classes are limited to 15 students.

1st–8th Grade Classes (see class schedule for available sessions)
Children can choose from a variety of classes offering unique science experiences, fun activities, exciting experiments and many opportunities to build self-esteem and healthy risk-taking through individual attention, group interaction, personal success, and physical activity.
