Our unique facility offers all of the learning opportunities of a zoo, a natural history museum, and a science museum in one visit! Explore the Hall of the Universe, experiment in the Science Gallery or Kids’ PlaYce, discover Egyptian artifacts in the Africa Room, bird watch in the Treehouse, touch live animals in the Tide Pool …there are too many experiences to list. Easy to read signage, electronic docents, and friendly staff make this an easy experience for group leaders and fun for visitors of every age. For maximum impact and value, combine the self-guided tour with an in-depth classroom experience led by a Museum professional.

Behind the Scenes is a terrific way to learn more about careers in science, technology, engineering and math in a museum setting. Select three areas to tour and three experts to meet from Education, Exhibits, Astronomy, Live Animals, Collections, Anthropology, or Archaeology. You can also choose to spend more time in one or two areas for an in-depth experience.
Fee: $7/person.
