Reciprocity
Reciprocity is a mutual exchange of privileges between two institutions, such as one science and technology center or zoo allowing free or reduced admission to members of another science and technology center or zoo. Membership to The Dayton Society of Natural History- Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park, and Fort Ancient offers free or reduced admission to other ASTC (Association of Science and Technology Centers) and AZA (American Zoo and Aquarium Association) institutions.

Your membership awards reciprocal benefits to hundreds of museums, zoos and aquariums around the country and world. Reciprocity lists vary depending on the level of membership you purchase.

Because reciprocal benefits are awarded at the sole discretion of the institution you are visiting, benefits may change at any time, without warning. We always recommend that you call the place you plan to visit to confirm reciprocal status before each visit. At all times, you must present your DSNH membership and photo ID to be eligible for reciprocal benefits.

For membership levels starting at $100.00 and above additional reciprocity benefits apply through the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) Reciprocal Program

The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester , New York , has made the decision to exclude Dayton Society of Natural History members from their reciprocal program if you are a resident of the Greater Rochester area, but with exception to those Greater Rochester residents who have the ACM reciprocal admission benefit through their membership with the Sciencenter in Ithaca, New York, or the Explore & More Children’s Museum in East Aurora, New York. Please take this into consideration when deciding which museums you will be visiting with a DSNH membership

Effective May 1, 2009, the Boonshoft Museum and SunWatch are pleased to partner with the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA). If you possess an AIA permanent membership, you qualify for 50% off admission fees at both Boonshoft and SunWatch. Other institutions are also participating.
