Looking for a safe and supportive learning environment for your child this fall? The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery is now offering small group Learning Pods for students grades Kindergarten to 12th.
With many school districts opting to go virtual at the start of the 2020-21 school year, we are offering a structured and safe environment for your child to accomplish their schoolwork and enjoy the resources available to them at the museum. Each pod will have a maximum of 9 students and will be filled on a weekly first come, first served basis. Proper cleaning and social distancing will be maintained with each pod and temperatures will be taken at drop-off each day. Under the professional supervision of museum staff, we will make sure your child stays engaged and on top of their individual course load.

Pods are filled week by week, on a first come, first served basis - but you can register for more than one week or the full 9 weeks at a time.

Registration will close for learning pods at 12:00 pm EST on the Friday prior to the beginning of every scheduled week.
Aftercare is available until 5:30pm Monday through Friday. During this time children may spend time in the museum, or engage in STEM activities under the supervision of Museum educators. Pre-registration is required.

What you will receive from us:
Structured, supportive learning environment with professional supervision
Structured brain breaks and STEM activities throughout the day (all materials are included in the price)
Pods of nine students will be in separate environments and will not mix with other pods or share materials
Each student will sit at a table distanced six feet apart from others, and all surfaces will be sanitized multiple times each day
Temperature checks of each student will occur during morning drop-off
Because we are serving students from all over the Miami Valley, we are unable to accommodate each district’s scheduled days off and/or in-service days. Please be aware of your child’s school schedule/calendar when choosing your dates. All sales are considered final, and refunds will not be issued.
