Honey Bee a Buzzin’ (grades K-2 and Senior Citizens)

The marvelous honeybee will be studied with pictures, dry mounted bees, children’s costumes, and bee keeping equipment. Each student will have a chance to taste honey.

Beaks & Feet (grades 4-8 and Senior Citizens)

This hands-on introduction to ornithology teaches habits and habitats of birds by looking at their “beaks and feet.” Using bird calls, bird specimens and games, students will identify and classify our feathered friends.

Step Into the Past (grades 3-5 and Senior Citizens)

Do you remember when bustles were popular? Or when the 13-button pant was in vogue? This exhibit tells the history of Dayton through costumes. Students will model period clothing and accessories to form a human timeline. They will learn about people and events that played important roles in Dayton’s past. This program is a wonderful time of reflection for Seniors

Ohio’s Wildlife Wonders (grades 5-9 and Senior Citizens)

This advanced level exhibit will explore the wonders of Ohio’s native, endangered and extirpated wildlife. Students will learn about various species by observing and handling wildlife skulls, furs and taxidermist mounts. Predator/Prey relationships along with the survival and conservation of animal populations will also be discussed.

The Good, The Bad, and The Bugly (grades K –8 and Senior Citizens)

For every person on the planet there are 200 million bugs! Everyone is fascinated by bugs – insects and arachnids. Here, students search out and explore those that are beneficial or harmful to both humans and our environment while learning fun and helpful facts.

Native Americans of North America (grades K– 8 and Senior Citizens)

Participants will examine many historic artifacts, learn how climate and location influenced home building, food sources and tools. Students use their artistic skills for a Native American project.

Frames, Fans, and Frivolity (grades 1 to Senior Citizen)

(Great for large groups)

Creativity, symmetry and design are used along with crimped paper, cut frames, and a chest of artistic treasures. All together they form a unique way to unlock the right brain side of our personalities. A wonderful exhibit for groups of any age to express themselves and have a great time making a one-of-a-kind treasure.

It's Your Future-S.T.E.M.:

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics are the terms we hear daily that will bring new growth to our region. Exhibits-To-Go has developed a "table top" program to enhance science fairs, school functions and community group activities on these important topics. This program can be adapted age appropriately, and can include additional hands-on projects based on need. Suitable for multi-age & large groups.
