Please use common sense... If you can’t take it on a plane, then it’s probably best to leave it at home! When planning your costume, keep in mind that GeekFest is a family-friendly event, and that the safety and security of our guests is paramount. Harassment will not be tolerated, and some cosplay props are prohibited. We can not pre-approve your props, but Security will check and tag them at the door, so review the COMPLETE list linked below as you plan your award-winning look for the evening.
Be sure to read our harassment policy, as well as review the COMPLETE list of prohibited items, but here are a few key "Dos and Don'ts" to make GeekFest a fun and memorable event for all:
All fake/toy/prop guns must have an orange tip, whether glued plastic or painted.
The Boonshoft Museum reserves the right to confiscate any prop deemed dangerous and to eject any attendee who may be a danger to others.
Be sure to follow the Boonshoft Museum Astronomy Department for updates.
