X-rays and gamma rays are the most energetic frequencies of light and are invisible to the human eye.  “The Hot and Energetic Universe” explores the hot and violent events in outer space that create these light rays, and the various telescopes and spacecraft that have been designed to detect them, presented against the backdrop of stunning views of many wonders of the universe.  25 minutes, ages 8+

It is similar to science documentaries such as those by Michio Kaku and Bill Nye.

Does this show have a lot of motion?

It often has very slow and gradual motion

Will my child enjoy this show?

This show is full of beautiful depictions of various astronomy sights and events.  The science content is accessible to late-elementary and older children.
