Flying Monsters

Caryl D. Philips Space Theater

For thousands of years humans have believed that there were once flying monsters.  About 220 million years ago dinosaurs were on the rise to dominating the Earth while another group of reptiles were about to control the skies. These lizards, ptersoaurs, some the size of giraffes with wingspans of 40 feet, were the first flying vertebrates. 40 minutes | Ages 6+

What’s It About?
Pterosaurs and pterodactyls, the flying reptiles from the Age of the Dinosaurs.

Is this similar to something I may have seen before?
It is similar to paleontology documentary shows such as Walking with Dinosaurs and Planet Dinosaur.

Does this show have a lot of motion?
There are some flying sequences as the camera soars through the sky with the pterosaurs, but these are not designed for thrills.

Will my child enjoy this show?
Children of any age who like dinosaurs will enjoy the visuals in this show. The science content is accessible to late-elementary and older children.  Narrated by David Attenborough!
