Each year, we contribute to hundreds of local organizations to help with their fundraising initiatives, or to offer free or reduced admissions to deserving individuals. For instructions to apply for admission passes for your group, event, or cause, please refer to our community giving guidelines.

Charitable Giving Policy for the Dayton Society of Natural History

Each year, the Dayton Society of Natural History responds to hundreds of requests for discounted and complimentary admission passes to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery as well as our sister sites, SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park and Fort Ancient. As a valuable community resource, we are happy to support organizations and institutions that meet the following criteria:

• The organization is a school, educational institution or educationally-based non-profit; and

• The organization is a qualified 501 c(3).

You may request one of the following (values based on adult admission):

(4) Four ‘Free Passes’ to the Boonshoft Museum, SunWatch Indian Village or Fort Ancient. (a $34.00 value)
 

(6) Six ‘Bring One Child Free Passes’ (pay for one regular Adult or Senior admission and receive one Child’s admission free) to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, SunWatch Indian Village or Fort Ancient (a $45.00 value).

All requests for discounted or complimentary admission passes must be submitted in writing and contain the following:

 

1. Requests must be written on the organization’s letterhead and addressed to The Dayton Society of Natural History, 2600 DeWeese Parkway, Dayton, Ohio 45414-5499, Attention Guest Services;

2. Requests must clearly state the mission of the organization.

3. Requests must indicate the intended use of the donation, the selected package from above and the date needed;

4. . Requests must indicate how the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, SunWatch Indian Village/Archaeological Park and/or Fort Ancient will be acknowledged; and

5. Requests must identify the name and address where discounted or complimentary passes should be mailed.

Only requests meeting the above criteria and containing the above information will be considered. The Dayton Society of Natural History reserves the right to deny requests for passes based solely on our discretion. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery of your passes.
